Over the summer, I read The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green. Even though it seems like every girl has read the story, I still believe this is a great book that has many important lessons and ideas overall. In this story, the main concept or idea is that you should always be appreciative of what you have because you never know when you could lose something important to you. John Green does a great job of making the story modern and relateable to get the point or main idea across. By the way he included important details, it felt like you were a character in the story at certain times in this book as well.
If I had to give this story a rate out of 10 i would easily give it 10 for many different reasons. One reason is because this story always had you intrigued and begging for more. It was also easy to relate to the characters and you witnessed them growing and changing throughout the book. For example: at the begining of the story, Hazel is a reserved, quiet, 17 year old girl and throught the story she evolves and becomes this more outgoing and happy girl because of Augustus. Augustus has a major impact on her life and he has changed her in the best way possible. This story also has an interesting plot because whenever you think something would happen, something totally unexpected would occur and it was like a rollercoaster of emotions.
Overall, this story taught me many important lessons and it impacted my life. John Green did a great job writing this story and I am definitely going to read some of his other books.
